Blackwork is a counted stitch technique similar to cross stitch but using backstitching to create distinctive repeat patterns.

It is a traditional embroidering style, which my patterns give a modern twist to in the instant downloadable collection of Blackwork Singles Patterns.

This listing is for the Moroccan Knot pattern. A repeat interlocking square with intricate indents. This pattern looks tricky but is an easy stitch for beginners that want to show some flair.

You will get one document to download. Within this is the pattern, a complementary blackwork pattern and an instruction booklet which gives details on fabric, threads, sizing, stitches, how to complete your blackwork and framing the finished hoop.

Sizing:

All sizing is given for 14 count aida.

The pattern is given on 110 x 110 squares. This equates to a stitched area of aprox 20cm x 20cm (7 3/4 inch).

You can adjust your sizing depending on the size of embroidery hoop used and details of the sizes are detailed in the instruction booklet.
